Privacy Policy

Effective date: July 16, 2026

Empowered Women Travel ("EWT," "we," "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect through empoweredwomentravel.com and in the course of organizing trips, how we use it, and the choices you have.

1. Information We Collect

Information you give us. When you submit a reservation request, contact form, or destination vote on this site, or correspond with us by email, we collect the information you provide — typically your name, email address, phone number, preferred destination and travel dates, and the content of your message. When you book a trip, we additionally collect the details needed to organize your travel, which may include passport information, date of birth, emergency contacts, and dietary or health notes you choose to share.

Information collected automatically. Our website is a simple informational site. We do not run advertising trackers or analytics scripts, and we do not set marketing cookies. Our hosting provider (GitHub Pages) may log standard technical data such as IP addresses for security and operational purposes, per its own practices.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to: respond to your inquiries and reservation requests; plan, book, and operate your trip; communicate trip details, changes, and pre-departure information; comply with legal, tax, and safety obligations; and, only if you've asked to hear from us, tell you about future trips. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.

3. How Your Information Is Shared

We share personal information only as needed to run our business and your trip:

Form processing. Website forms are processed by Web3Forms, which transmits your submission to our email; their handling is governed by their own privacy policy.
Travel suppliers. To operate your trip we share necessary details (e.g., names, passport data where required) with the hotels, transport providers, guides, and activity operators involved in your itinerary — including suppliers located in your destination country, which may have different data-protection laws than the United States.
Service providers. Email and payment processing providers we use to communicate and accept payments.
Legal. When required by law, regulation, or valid legal process, or to protect the safety of our travelers and staff.

4. Payment Information

We do not store full payment card numbers. Payments are handled by the payment processors identified at the time of payment, and your card details are collected and processed by them under their own security standards.

5. Data Retention

We keep inquiry information for as long as needed to respond and follow up. We keep booking and payment records for as long as required for tax, accounting, and legal purposes. Passport and health-related details collected for a specific trip are deleted or de-identified when no longer needed for that trip and any related obligations.

6. Your Choices & Rights

You may at any time: request a copy of the personal information we hold about you; ask us to correct or delete it (subject to records we must keep by law); and opt out of any future-trip emails by replying "unsubscribe" or writing to us. Depending on where you live (for example, the EU/UK under GDPR or California under the CCPA/CPRA), you may have additional statutory rights, including the right not to be discriminated against for exercising them. To exercise any right, email info@empoweredwomentravel.com — we respond to verified requests within the timeframe required by applicable law. We do not sell or "share" (as defined by the CPRA) personal information, so no opt-out is needed.

7. Children

Our website and services are directed to adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information online from children under 13. Information about minors traveling with a family booking is provided to us by a parent or guardian solely for trip operations.

8. Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect personal information, including limiting access to those who need it to run your trip. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. External Links

Our site links to third-party sites (for example, form and font providers). Their privacy practices are their own; we encourage you to review their policies.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date above reflects the latest revision; material changes will be posted on this page.
